This candy was first introduced in 1940 by the York Cone Company. The York Cone Company originally started as an ice cream company, but because of the extreme popularity of the Patties, they ended up concentrating just on those. They were a regional brand until they were acquired by Peter Paul in 1972 and taken nationally. By 1988, they were taken over by Hershey's.

York Peppermint Patties consist of a sugary, soft white peppermint middle area covered by a hard chocolate shell. While other chocolate covered peppermint candy bars are soft and almost gummy, York Patties are crisp and can easily be broken down the center. In fact, that's the quality test for them. Orbit is a sugar free gum made by Wrigley. It's sold in signature boxes of 14 individual pieces of gum. It's a great tasting sugar free treat that has won the American Dental Association's seal of approval because of its ability to help promote better oral health.

Orbit Gum has one of the most interesting histories of any similar product. It was originally released in 1944 during World War II as a substitute for the other Wrigley's Brands to deal with the wartime shortages and rationing. After World War II, the brand was withdrawn from the market until 1977 when it was released as Wrigley's first sugar gum. In the US, the brand was once again pulled with the introduction of Extra Sugar Gum. Finally in 2001, Orbit Gum came back to stay.

This cafe also known as “Knipschildt Chocolatier” is named after its designed Fritz Knipschildt. Fritz is the former chef from Denmark who has been in the business of chocolates for some time. After selling chocolates in Europe for many years, he decided to build his one café and make his own chocolates. And he has done everything right.

The Café is located in SoNo in South Norwalk, CT. While the outside is non descriptive, it is the inside that counts. Fritz has some of the best and most expensive chocolates on display. Even though rich in style and taste, most chocolates are affordable by buying single pieces. There are roughly 20 types of these hand made chocolates; each piece of the chocolates is also for around $1.50. For those want to buy a gift, there are ample bars of chocolates, syrup, sauces and chocolates cakes to select from.

The café has become a gathering spot for coffee drinkers, families and chocolate lovers. Everything inside projects chocolates. The wall paper has scenes depicting “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and Fritz also has an open window into his chocolate shop. One can view through the window on how the chefs prepare the fresh chocolates, cakes and desserts. There are not too many secrets to hide.

Fritz has brought the art of making chocolates into a different world.

While the Chocopologie serves breakfast all day, most people gather for the coffee and the chocolates.
